Russian banker Vladimir Antonov has said he is willing to invest in Saab. Sweden's Debt Office, which guaranteed a 400 million euro loan to Saab and has a say in ownership changes, is considering Antonov's application to take a stake in the carmaker.

Antonov helped finance Spyker's purchase of Saab and chairs Conversbank Ltd. He was forced out of the original deal for Spyker to buy Saab from GM after media reports of links to organized crime. He has said he has cleared his name.

Meanwhile, Saab said today it reached a deal with one of its key suppliers and that production would soon be back to normal following stoppages at its Swedish manufacturing plant.
